“When my husband died, my only option was to leave Afghanistan ”

I came here on my own, with my two daughters. My husband is dead. Most of my life I spent in Iran. Originally I come from Ghazi, a city in Afghanistan. There is so much war! In this region, we speak Farsi. When my husband died, my only option was to leave Afghanistan because I didn’t have a chance there – on my own with my two kids. I didn’t have any support and I was not allowed to work. So I went to Iran and lived in Teheran. There, I had a lot of difficulties because my kids were orphans and I had to gain the money for our family on my own.

Now I’m happy to be here in Germany. I want to live in freedom. I want to learn German and find a good job. My children are also happy here. My younger daughter gets angry really fast. I think the difficulties that I had to experience in my life also affected my children. Now we are looking forward to the transfer.
